The Emergency First Response (EFR) and Finnish Red Cross (SPR) EA courses both offer comprehensive first aid skills and are based on international resuscitation recommendations. EFR is international, flexible and shorter (approx. 2–16 hours, 24 months validity), while SPR EA1 is the standard in Finland, 16 hours, valid for three years.
